The house, shrouded in dark. How else would it be? After your death, she feared switching the lights on as everything in the house you both had work so hard to make it so, reminded her of you. But today she needed you so badly. Everything had gone wrong; she had lost her job. She needed you.Na na, na na na, na naI miss you, miss you so badI don't forget you,oh it's so sadI hope you can hear meI remember it clearlyThat day you had taken a wild ride on your friend’s motorbike. Both of you were drunk. You took the gamble with life, and you lost. Laughing, you and your friend suddenly stared death in the face when a car slammed into the motorbike head-on when your friend had run a red light. The day you slipped awayWas the day I found it won't be the same OooohWhen she got the call, she couldn't respond. Her mind went numb, she couldn’t think. She believed it was a joke played on her. Both of you were just getting on top of the world; you were engaged and living together with her after five years, both of you had just secured a steady job which paid well and was interesting. The marriage was in a few months. Why? Why did it turn out like that? She had hated when you drank but she accepted it.
That night, you had told her you were out for a meeting but instead, you went to drink.
Na na, na na na, na naAt the funeral, she had already lost weight. Any food made her vomit and she hardly drank any water. She was fragile, a lone figure, but she still had to hide under a masquerade and smile weakly at distant friends, at people who offered her comforting words. She had to act all right for her parents, and the hardest thing was to see your parents. But she did it. The funeral went by like a blur, but she didn’t dare to look at you in the coffin until you were being buried. You looked so pale, so lifeless and when she saw you for the last time, she had run away till she couldn’t go on and collapsed in the middle of the pavement.
I didn't get around to kiss youGoodbye on the handI wish that I could see you againI know that I can'tYou were gone so suddenly. Without a goodbye, without a warning. She didn’t even know, she didn’t even expect it.
OoooohI hope you can hear me cause I remember it clearlyShe had to face it, she was alone.
The day you slipped awayWas the day I found it won't be the sameOooohThen she did it. She needed something of you, something for her to remember. She took a deep breath and switched on the lights. The memories pushed far back in her mind took a life of their own as she took in the house, the home you both created together. The five years you two had together. She had almost decided to leave you once because of your incessant drinking, and you had almost gotten down to your knees pleading for another chance. The few days without her had been hell, and you promised her you would only drink with her permission from now on. Both of you had teared, and it turned okay in the end.
The small fights you two had, the news you two shared, both good and bad. The battles you two fought together, how she had been there when you came home late every night crabby and tired, the time she cried tears of happiness when you presented her with the engagement ring. She had said yes immediately.
And there was the home. The home you two created, now empty, black, cold. Only a house now.
She didn’t treasure you enough when you were around
I had my wake upWon't you wake upI keep asking whyAnd I can't take itIt wasn't fakedIt happened, you passed byAnd now all she wanted was you, back. The tears fought to flow and she slid onto her knees, gasping for air as she sobbed and choked on her tears. The pain, the emptiness overwhelmed her. She had nowhere to go now. She was alone, she was facing this alone.
Now you’re gone, now you’re goneThere you go, there you goSomewhere I can't bring you backYou were gone, she couldn’t find you, not even in her. She hit her head continuously on the wall and the physical pain seemed to make her feel better. She fell to the floor, screaming, weeping, gasping. She swore at you for leaving her. She screamed she needed you. She sobbed you had broken all your promises. She needed you, where were you?
Now you’ree gone, now you’re goneThere you go, there you go,Somewhere you’re not coming backWhy didn’t you think of her? Why did you leave her all alone? After you promised not to hurt her again, why did you take away her soul? After you promised to always be there for her, why weren’t you there when she needed you the most? The day you slipped awayWas the day i found it won't be the same noo..The say you slipped awayWas the day that i found it won't be the same oooh...She looked down at her heart and saw nothing. She looked around and saw pain, raw pain which was flowing in her tenfold, hundredfold, thousandfold till she was blinded by it.
